Rockwell Collins, a world leader in delivering high tech solutions for the digital battlespace, will be showcasing its newest solutions at Eurosatory 2012, taking place June 11-15.

FireStorm for Joint Fires:
For the first time, Rockwell Collins (Stand F140) will demonstrate FireStorm for Joint Fires, a system that networks ground and air forces, resulting in a common air/ground operating picture, greater shared situational awareness and unrivalled accuracy.

Features of FireStorm for Joint Fires include:

  • Shared tactical situational awareness that facilitates the decision cycle. Message exchange and target designation between the FireStorm soldier, vehicle and airborne platforms are performed with a data link solution and interoperable ground and airborne software.
  • Future-proof with affordable operating costs, including software that is routinely upgraded. All aircraft are regularly confirmed and new ones are added.
  • Turn-key solution featuring services, simulation and training.

“Today, the process for communicating tactical information across multiple domains on the battlefield can be cumbersome and inefficient,” explained Claude Alber, Vice-President and Managing Director Europe, Middle East and Africa. “The FireStorm for Joint Fires is a turn-key solution that dramatically improves these operations while minimizing total cost of ownership. We combined our latest communication and targeting innovations developed in the US and in Europe to offer an interoperable solution that meets the new complex requirements of coalition forces.”

MicroGRAM military GPS:
The MicroGRAM reliably provides secure military GPS technology for equipment that previously was unable to have it. Much smaller and lighter than its predecessor, the Miniature PLGR Engine-SAASM (MPE-S), the MicroGRAM is slightly bigger than a large postage stamp, while still containing valuable Selective Availability/Anti-Spoofing Module (SAASM) technology. SAASM encapsulates all GPS classified data and signal processing into one tamper-proof module, providing jamming and spoofing protection for U.S. and allied forces operating in hostile environments. The MicroGRAM is another example of Rockwell Collins’ strong legacy in providing innovative military GPS capabilities to our warfighters.

In addition to the FireStorm for Joint Fires and MicroGRAM, Rockwell Collins will be showcasing:

CommuniCase Technology CCT200 mobile satellite communication:
The CCT200 Fly-Away terminal is fully integrated with the unique modular design of the CommuniCase Technology (CCT) concept, resulting in a flexible and reliable offering. The compact and easily transported CCT200 Fly-Away extends the highly successful CCT product family with improved data throughput up to 50 Mbps, higher link availability and operates within a wider satellite footprint.

FlexForce Life Cycle Service Solution:
FlexForce is a comprehensive program for defense and government agencies worldwide that brings together multiple service offerings from the company. With the FlexForce program, the most customizable service solution available, Rockwell Collins works closely with the customer to share risk and provide transparency in repair and supply chain on Performance Based Agreements (PBA). The end result is a service solution that meets each customer’s unique operational requirements, including enhanced efficiencies and cost savings.
