Norwegian Ministry of Defence, Under the Arctic Military Environmental Cooperation (AMEC) programme, in which the Norwegian Ministry of Defence, Russian Ministry of Defence, United States Department of Defense and United Kingdom Ministry of Defence participate, one of the oldest nuclear submarines of the Russian Navy will be transported from its storage location at the Gremikha Naval Base on the Kola Peninsula in north-west Russia to the dismantlement yard at Shipyard 10, at the entrance to the Kola Bay near Murmansk.
