EDP, RAF crews returned home to East Anglia last night, after four months in the Middle East.
The 15 Sqdn Regiment, from RAF Honington, was involved in airfield defence in Ali Al Salem in Kuwait.
Station Commander Group Captain Steven Abbott met them from the coach. “Whilst in Kuwait the squadron have been carrying out airfield defence duties, rather than their normal Rapier missile role,” said a spokesman.
“This has involved carrying out patrols in the vicinity of Ali Al Salem and having to work in temperatures exceeding 60 degC.”
