Indian Ministry of Defence, The Government has asked the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) to speed up manufacturing of Sukhoi-30 MKI fighter.
The sanction of the Government has been conveyed to HAL for compression of the delivery schedule of SU-30 MK1 aircraft from 14 years to 11 years. The aircraft would be delivered in 11 years.
To meet the delivery schedule, the rate of production of aircraft is increased with the help of collaborators.
This information was given by the Minister of State for Defence Production Shri Rao Inderjit Singh in a written reply to Shri Sugrib Singh in Lok Sabha today.
