Israel Aircraft Industries, BEN GURION INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT: IAI/ELTA Systems has launched a new generation of Airborne Radar Warning Receivers with high accuracy location system indication of radars in the theater of interest designated EL/L-8265RWL.

Elta is competing to supply the EL/L-8265RWL system to fighter aircraft of an undisclosed country. The program is valued at tens of millions of dollars in its various phases.

Elta's EL/L-8265RWL is an integral compact radar warning and high accuracy location system which is characterized by its light weight and small volume that makes it especially suitable for various types of both manned and unmanned airborne platforms. The system combines radar warning receiver capabilities with Electronic Support Measures (ESM) capabilities. It is designed to operate in dense and complex radar environments and to intercept, measure, identify and locate all radar types.

Elta's compact radar warning system provides the pilot with precise threat location capabilities that give the pilot an exact picture of the threat scenario, a unique capability of Elta Systems.

Main features of the EL/L-8265RWL are:

–Frequency band coverage: 2-18 GHz
–Spatial coverage: 360 degrees
–Simple antenna configuration
–No calibration required
–Use of digital receiver
–Automatic threat detection, identification, high accuracy location and display
