Terma A/S, Terma A/S has been awarded a contract from EADS Deutschland GmbH for development and manufacture of the Countermeasures Signal Processor (CSP) for the EADS Defence Electronics MILDS AAR-60(V)2 Missile Warner System.

The AAR-60(V)2 is a fighter version of the MILDS AAR-60 system which is operational on several transport and helicopter platforms. The launch customer for the AAR-60(V)2 is the Royal Danish Air Force (RDAF) who signed contracts with EADS for delivery of the AAR-60(V)2 and with Terma for integration of the system on the Danish F-16s.

The CSP is the controller of the AAR-60(V)2 system, and it is being installed in Terma modified Wing Weapon Pylons (PIDS+ and ECIPS+) where the CSP is interfacing to Terma Electronic Warfare Management System in the F-16 cockpit. This mission customized installation will be the first fully integrated, operational MWS on the F-16 where it is a major improvement of the survivability of the aircraft.

The close cooperation on the Danish program between EADS and Terma has developed into joint marketing of the AAR-60(V)2 installation for other customers.

Terma is a leading Denmark based defense and aerospace company and is a proven developer of electronic warfare systems, reconnaissance systems, and aeronautic structures for high-performance military aircraft. Terma A/S is headquartered in Lystrup, Denmark and maintains subsidiary facilities and operations in a number of European countries and in the U.S., including the wholly owned subsidiary, Terma North America, Inc. The company employs approximately 1,100 people worldwide, and realized 2004 revenues of approximately US $200M.
