Beijing: Pakistan and China are expected to sign over 25 agreements in technology, banking, education, infrastructure and investment sectors during Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz's visit to Beijing.
Aziz, during his stay in Beijing, will meet Chinese President Hu Jintao, Vice Premier Wu Yi and Premier Wen Jiabao. Describing Sino-Pakistani relationship as “deeper than the deepest ocean, higher than the highest mountain”, Aziz said.
Pakistan is very proud of its relationship with China. The two countries' ties are “based on principle, shared values and the desire to work together for peace and prosperity”. Aziz said he will exchange views with Chinese leadership to further promote political, economic and diplomatic relations. He said that friendship with China is the cornerstone of Pakistan's foreign policy and the strategic relationship between the two countries is a source of peace and stability in the region and the world as well.
Apart from Beijing, Aziz would also visit Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province, where he would inaugurate a Pakistani Consulate General and visit the Air Design Complex where Pakistan and China have been cooperating for manufacturing JF-17 fighter jets. From April 20 to 21, Aziz would attend the annual conference of the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) to be held in China's southernmost Hainan Province.
