Sunnex, Inc.,

NATICK, Mass.: Sunnex, Inc., a leading manufacturer of lighting equipment, has announced that its HS Series halogen task lamps will be used by the United States Army to provide task lighting in HMMWVs and Bradley Fighting Vehicles.

The selected light is a military standard version of Sunnex's HS Series halogen task lamps, designed to withstand the harshest of demanding conditions. The lamp features a moisture-proof head and delivers focused halogen illumination, flexibility and ease-of-use in a compact, space-saving design that enables versatility in mounting.

The U.S. Army will install over 1,400 of the Sunnex lamps in HMMWV (High-Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles) light, highly mobile, diesel-powered, four-wheel-drive vehicles, and in Bradley Fighting Vehicles, which provide protected battlefield transport for infantry squads.

Sunnex's HS Series task lights offer a host of additional features, including a gooseneck arm, available in different lengths, that is resistant to vibration and maintains its shape for the life of the lamp. The arm is housed within a scratch-resistant PUR sleeve which provides protection from dust, oil and moisture. Available HS Series options include a quick disconnect lamp head for mobility, various application-specific filters, including a red lens for night vision and a UV lens. HS Series lamps feature a 20-watt halogen bulb that produces a bright white work light, while providing longer life and energy efficiency.

Sunnex offers a wide variety of robust task lamps, magnifying lamps, marine lighting, map lights, and custom design specialty lighting for use in military and other demanding applications. Sunnex has more than 30 years of industry experience and is ISO 9002 certified. Sunnex, Inc. is headquartered in Natick, Massachusetts, USA, with sales and service representatives located worldwide.
