Third Czech Air Force L-159T1 in the Air

Aero Vodochody, On August 28, 2007 at 12:36 (local time), the third out of a total of four L-159T1 advanced training aircraft (s/n 6071) produced for the Czech Air Force took off for the first time. 
 
The crew of AERO test pilots Vladimir Kvarda and Rostislav Stroin checked the aircraft in a 56-minute maiden flight. “The maiden flight came off perfect,” said Rostislav Stroin after landing. 
 
The first flight of the first L-159T1 s/n 6069 was carried out on March 8, 2007, the second s/n 6067 on August 6, 2007. 
 
AERO Vodochody a.s. signed the contract on four rebuilt single-seat L-159 aircraft into two-seat T1 version with the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic on June 26, 2006. All units will be delivered to the customer by the end of 2007.
