It seems that what disturbs the informed Western thinker, concerning the actual rapacious behaviour of the Israeli mafia towards the Palestinians, and the way that that mafia conditions its children, contrary to the teachings of Moses, is that, more or less, the Israelis represent a modern Western mind-set. We, at least here in Europe, are deeply embarrassed, (while forgetting the history of our own colonial and genocidal racialism,) that people, well 'educated' in the modern style, like us, namely the Israelis, could behave so dreadfully, with seemingly Conscienceless acquisitiveness.
The facts are simple, they are on the ground. The Palestinians have been robbed, brutalized, and pushed into dustbins.
The excuses as to why this has happened may be relevant, but truly, are of no concern to the suffering family of Hakim or Massoud, out there on the Gaza strip.
The Palestinians are not the only suffering population, of course, and one hesitates, out of horror, to cast ones' mind worldwide, to Africa, just to begin with, for equal visions of children ripped apart by life-made-nightmare. Yet for some reason, the ascension of the Israeli mafia, and its open display, worldwide, of what can only be fairly described as a third reich style intercourse with the rest of the 'civilized world, strikes very deeply at our Consciences. Collectively, the Western Mind, is like a lot of ancient Greeks, made lazy by the plundered gold of Alexander, the library-burning monster. These particular Greeks were easily devoured by the unparralleled licentious degeneracy of the Romans, who appear to have found enthusiastic imitators in the corridors of Washington, and sadly also, here in this strange bent-dollar heeding government in Westminster.
It has taken very heavy storms that the Great teachings sent down to us from Above, should now become an EXPECTATION in the conduct of human affairs. Historically, Zoroaster, Lao Tsu, The Buddha, Jesus, and the Prophet, were linked by a fairly short time period of a few hundred years. All taught, in a new way, the significance of personal responsibility, and a sense of human justice, not founded on tribal or racial differentiation. The great outrage, to the 'modern' mind, that hitler (no capital) represented, and that sharon, (no capital), represents, is that they are of an older, tribal, violently ethnic-specific, and spiritually unevolved, almost socially neanderthal, primitive, reversal of the Great teachings, sent from Above by the forementioned teachers.
Human Society, being of necessity, elegant and complex, has always had a place for such as hitler, (no capital,) ; they should be relegated to the slums and back-streets, where, like jackals, they live and profit from the weak and fallen. Instead, they are become chauffer driven dignitaries in Washington, London, Riyadh, and Peking, and the Good Lord knows where else. It does not suit them. They make bad decisions all the time. Human suffering increases, and inevitably, the mafia families too, will be consumed at a faster rate than when they were humbly extracting protection money from the downtown ice-cream vendors.
Everywhere, the mafia mentality is revealing itself in the governance of the peoples of this Planet. It is named Fundamentalism by the narrow minded zealots in ALL religions. It is named Economic Necessity by the elegantly dressed habituees of the most exclusive watering holes. It is named Security by ariel sharon, (no capitals.) and it is named Scientific Advancement by the ghouls who disfigure Nature herself, in the corporate laboratories.
It appears that what is different now is that people who seek knowledge, as we are urged to do by the Great Teaching, expect more than was possible before the advent of modern mass education, and the extraordinary, newly available information technology. But this new expectation is arising in a world still dominated by shallow, power loving rabble-rousers, whose primary sense of being alive comes from possessing a seat at the gambling table of world power; such unimaginativeness they possess, to think that History will reward them for such filth they dip themselves into for the sake of 'expediency'.
One cannot advocate violence, which begets itself, which I admit, is easy for me personally to do, at this comfortable distance from the suffering of the Palestinian people. Yet one can say that their pillage and suffering is not only an affront to the memory of the dreadful suffering meted out to the Jewish people by hitler, (no capital),; it is not only an affront to common human decency, it is a direct, clearly visible, and open affront to those Western values that the Israeli people claim to be associated with.
