Dirgantara Indonesian Aerospace, Thailand is interested in operating Dirgantara CN-235 aircraft and has ordered ten units worth US$200-220 million. Six of them will be operated by Thailand Ministry of Defence and the other four by Ministry of Agriculture.

As reported before, Dirgantara has proposed a counter-trade system for CN-235 aircraft sales. However, management has decided that the purchase by Thailand will be paid in cash, not in such a system.

The decision is in accordance with Indonesian Government policy on trading mechanisms.
