Patria, The first high-cabin NH90 transport helicopter destined for the Swedish Defence Forces assembled by Patria in Finland has flown successfully its industrial flights. The helicopter in question is the third Swedish NH90 to take off as the two others have been assembled by Eurocopter in Marignane, France. Of the remaining 16 Swedish helicopters, 14 will be assembled in Finland and two in France.

Patria has already assembled standard NH90 transport versions for the Finnish Defence Forces and their industrial flights have also fulfilled all expectations. Patria is responsible for assembling 50 NH90 helicopters for Sweden, Finland and other operators. Patria’s teams have been working very closely for the past three years with Eurocopter and its partners to acquire the requested knowledge and skills to assemble and maintain the NH90.

The Finnish assembly line is the 4th operational assembling line for the NH90, beside the ones based in France, Germany and Italy.

Patria’s Systems and Services Business Segment focuses among other things on military aircraft and helicopter life cycle support services including final assembly, maintenance, repair and modifications as well as helicopter spare parts and technical support.

Patria is a defence and aerospace group with international operations delivering its customers competitive solutions based on own specialist know-how and partnerships. Patria is owned by the State of Finland and the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company EADS N.V.
