, BEIRUT, October 8 (RIA Novosti correspondent Igor Popov) – The first regional exhibition and presentation of Russian innovation projects – “300th Anniversary of St. Petersburg. Science, Industry, Education” – has opened for the first time in the Middle East in Beirut.
According to the head of the Russian delegation and member of the management of the leading Russian foreign trade association – Rosoboronexport, Vladimir Daukshty, the Russian military enterprises have accumulated a great number of high-tech original projects which make it possible to create really unique civil products.
The central place in the exposition of the Petersburg defense industry at the exhibition, which will last till October 10, will be occupied by projects in such spheres as the power industry, machine-building, machine-tool construction, ship-building, ecology, medicine, chemistry and the development of new materials.
All the projects are designed to satisfy the vital requirements of the economy of Lebanon and other countries of the Middle East and the Persian Gulf.
