Raytheon Company, RESTON, Va.: Raytheon Technical Services Company (RTSC) LLC, a subsidiary of Raytheon Company, has been awarded a five-year, indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity contract to support the Department of Defense's counter-narcoterrorism activities. This multiple contractor award has an estimated ceiling value of $15 billion.

The scope of work across all task orders is to provide equipment, material and services to the DOD's Counter-Narcoterrorism Technology Program Office (CNTPO). Work began Aug. 24 and will end Aug. 23, 2012. Under the terms of the contract, RTSC may provide support to CNTPO in three areas: technology development and application; training, operations and logistics support; and professional and executive support. CNTPO is located at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren, Va.

RTSC will lead a team that includes EG&G, a division of URS Corporation; Science Applications International Corporation, Battelle, and others. The team will offer the CNTPO a comprehensive capability to produce innovative solutions, provide responsive support and experienced management committed to the CNTPO mission worldwide.

“CNTPO is actively engaged in providing technology and services to meet the immediate and emerging needs of the combatant commanders and others involved in interagency and multinational operations to disrupt, deter and deny narcoterrorist and illegal drug activities,” said Tom Arnsmeyer, vice president of the Homeland Security Solutions product line of RTSC's Integrated Support Solutions business. “Raytheon is committed to providing the right solutions to CNTPO in this critical mission of supporting the DOD, other government agencies, and partner nations.”

RTSC provides technology solutions for defense, federal and commercial customers worldwide. It specializes in Mission Support, counter-proliferation and counter-terrorism, homeland security solutions, base and range operations and customized engineering and manufacturing.
