Raytheon Company, RESTON, Va.: The U.S. Army has directed Raytheon Company to proceed with consolidating the Army's live, virtual and constructive training operations and support systems worldwide under the Warfighter Field Operations Customer Support (FOCUS) contract.

The Raytheon-led Warrior Training Alliance (WTA) will move forward with General Dynamics Information Technology as a key member of the team.

“We are extremely excited to begin work on this very important program and are committed to a seamless transition that will enable us to provide the Army with the highest level of service and support,” said Richard R. Yuse, a Raytheon Company vice president and Raytheon Technical Services Company (RTSC) LLC president. “General Dynamics is a complement to our integrated solution to improve the readiness and effectiveness of U.S. Army soldiers.”

“General Dynamics Information Technology is proud to be part of the WTA team,” said Zannie Smith, senior vice president of Army Solutions for GDIT. “We're pleased that we will be able to continue to provide critical training systems and services to the warfighter worldwide for many years to come.”

“Ensuring that our troops receive the best training available, through a balanced application of live, virtual and constructive methodologies, is of the utmost importance to our team,” said Austin Yerks, president of Computer Sciences Corporation's Defense Division. “CSC and the WTA members will work seamlessly and diligently to make certain our soldiers are well prepared to achieve their mission.”

The Warfighter FOCUS program of the U.S. Army's Program Executive Office, Simulation, Training and Instrumentation, will enable the Army's transition to the most modern, collaborative and information-enabled training environment in the world. The WTA, led by Raytheon, was selected based on its experience, solutions and existing presence spanning all critical dimensions of U.S. Army training. Supporting Raytheon, CSC and GDIT are 64 additional teammates committed to innovation and excellence in warfighter training.

The Warrior Training Alliance of industry leaders in training brings proven, current and relevant experience across all training environments, including live, virtual and constructive. With a combined legacy of successfully executing large-scale and complex programs, the WTA is organized to apply the right resources to successfully accomplish each task and to deliver the best value, lowest risk solutions.
