Northrop Grumman,

MCLEAN, Va.: Northrop Grumman Corporation has been awarded a contract to consolidate and centrally manage information technology (IT) resources for the U.S. Army's 5th Signal Command in Mannheim, Germany. Managed through the European Theater Network Operations Security Center (E-TNOSC), the effort will streamline the U.S. Army's European IT infrastructure to improve network integrity and security while reducing overall costs.

“This contract builds on Northrop Grumman's network integration and defense initiatives, protecting both the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force's IT networks throughout the European theater,'' said Catherine Kuenzel, vice president of enterprise infrastructure services and solutions for Northrop Grumman's IT sector. “Our low-risk, high-value solution will ensure the integrity of Theater networks supporting communications and information systems essential to military decision makers and Warfighters.''

Northrop Grumman IT will lead partners ARTEL, Reston, Va., General Dynamics Information Technology, Fairfax, Va., and Strategic Business Systems, Herndon, Va., in this five-year, $30 million contract to ensure uninterrupted network operation and security. The contract incorporates a wide range of network management services including network defense, intrusion detection and analysis, remedy development and administration, and spectrum network management.

Northrop Grumman Corporation is a $32 billion global defense and technology company whose 120,000 employees provide innovative systems, products, and solutions in information and services, electronics, aerospace and shipbuilding to government and commercial customers worldwide.
