Korean Information Service, The Defense Ministry said on Friday (Dec. 19) that the acquisition of early-warning systems, estimated to cost 2 trillion won ($1.6 billion), will be done with transparency and fairness.
Maj. Gen. Won Jang-hwan, acquisition policy bureau director general, said the ministry will make open and public every step of the process, from study of the required operational capability to the competitive bidding stage, so that no taxpayers will raise issue with it.
