Anyone played Battlefield Bad Company 2 yet? The gunplay is just unparalleled, as is the sound. Two big thumbs up!
Very true! To be honest, I enjoyed it more than CoD MW2.

Right in this moment, Splinter Cell Conviction makes its way on my hard drive- I'm wondering if I'm up to Sam Fisher's job this time ;) Having played all the titles of the franchise I was very disappointed with SC Double Agent as the PC version was massively bugged.

BTW, to all who love to slaughter Nazis in Paris, The Saboteur IMO is one of the best recent games. I really recommend it. Very enjoyable, if for the soundtrack alone.

I fell in love with the first one, one of my favorite shooters of all time.

Hmmm, I was looking at that. I'll have to give it a go.

Sadly it wasn't released for the PC. I do not own a console (my girlfriend wouldn't let me- thank good I have to have a very powerful PC due to CAD and FEM reasons ;)) but some of my friends loved it too.

You won't regret it, I promise. I just bought it because I could get it real cheap but I was sucked in from the beginning. I loved it.

Campaign story wise BC2 sucks majorly. When it comes to multiple player, they are almost equal (obviously people(BC fbs) who think that MW2 is all about team death matches would disagree). Besides Mw2 creates a better atmosphere because of its soundtrack. It is one of those sound tracks which seem to have a life of their own and make you feel emotions in line with the games' characters, case in point the Esaka team theme from Kof 96/98 or COD4 or the DMC4 soundtracks. BC & BC2 fail in this regard for me.

I played on a comp - BattleField Bad Company2, i may get to play multiplayer soon, i dont like it tht u cant stay a mission from between - it starts from the beginning
come on guys... i play bf since bf42 and this game was always multiplayer focused, I don't even play the solo parts, I just play some of the first levels to get a feeling for it.

And BC2 is great, as mentioned the trajectory of the bullits are great, it is so statisfying to hit someone very far away, i never liked to play as a sniper but in BC2 i just love it.

But the maps became so small, that's a huge minus.
Of cause it makes battles faster etc. pp but some larger maps would have been a major plus, the helicopters make absolutly no sense on most maps (and heli's are one of the best things of bf:bc =D)

Hi all, played BBC2, the AI is also a minus, but overall the game is superb, completed the whole solo mission, you really need to listen to your squad leader for the "tips" to overcome the mission and of course tactical shrewd. Ghost recon and Rainbow Six have better AI. But i give 4 over 5 in overall. Love the weapons cache so many weapons so little gooks!!

one word: Civilization.

Civ5 is coming out this fall.

And so far the news that has come out has been promising. Especially the revamp of the Military (one unit to a tile) and the move to hex based maps. Finally you can rely on a smaller professional and technologically advanced army to beat down the unwashed masses of the AI! I was always a tech man, even in Civilizations four, but my army was always crushed by the sheer size of the AI's forces and it made me :mad so much. This new system looks so epic, can't wait to get my hands on it and rip the AI's armies to shreds.

... i've never had any problems with overwhelming masses of enemies in Civ4. Or any other Civ game since the original. Build your defenses to proper levels, especially in Civ4, and unless the AI comes by the dozen it's not gonna have a chance.

That's exactly the problem, I was always running skeleton armies so I could pump all my money into research, I tended to rush for strong war techs and then go on major campaigns while I had better advanced troops :)
