Lockheed Martin,

OWEGO, N.Y., Jan. 29 — Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has upgraded two Spanish Navy SH-60B MKIII Light Airborne Multi-Purpose Systems (LAMPS), successfully completing a four-year, $55.4 million program to provide Spain with new state-of-the-art maritime helicopters for shipboard deployment.

Lockheed Martin, working with Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation and subcontractor TECNOBIT of Valdepenas, Spain, performed the upgrades at Rota Naval Base in Cadiz, Spain, completing the first upgrade in July and the second in October. The Spanish Navy will upgrade four other SH-60B Block Zero helicopters using kits already delivered by Lockheed Martin, Sikorsky and the U.S. Government.

The upgrades marked the third and final major task in the Spanish LAMPS program, which included delivery of six new LAMPS armed helicopters to the Spanish Armada fleet, and delivery of six SPAS-8B Acoustic Signal Processors built by Sociedad Anonima Electronica Submarina (SAES) of Cartagena, Spain for those aircraft.

“Lockheed Martin and its partners are extremely proud of this program,” said Jeff Bantle, vice president and general manager Multi-Mission Solutions at Lockheed Martin Systems Integration – Owego. “We are pleased to provide the Spanish Navy with highly sophisticated maritime helicopters that will greatly enhance its anti-submarine warfare capabilities.

Lockheed Martin was the systems integrator for the SH-60B LAMPS program and Sikorsky designed and manufactured the aircraft.
