India's Anti-ballistic Missile – PAD -Intercepts Medium Range Ballistic Missile -Part 4
India's Anti -Ballistic Missile System will be Multi-Layered.
1. AAD and PAD – can hit ballistic missiles at the terminal Phase. ( Altitude 100 km )
2. AD-1, AD-2 and Anti-ballistic Missile Multiple Kill vehicle or ABM-MKV – (under development) can intercept missiles at the mid phase. (Mid Phase Altitude of Ballistic Missiles from the Interception side 100 to 1200 km)
3. Laser weapon (under development)- It is for intercepting boost phase of ballistic missile. Altitude 100 to 400 km (Ground based laser and Air borne laser-ABL, and space based laser weapon) part of weaponization of space program
