Frost & Sullivan, PALO ALTO, Calif.: The Aerospace and Defense group at Frost & Sullivan is pleased to announce its exclusive 2007 quarterly interactive webinar on Thursday, June 7, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. EDT titled “Unmanned and Unrestrained: The Future of Unmanned Aviation Remains Strong Despite Reductions in Defense Spending.”

The unmanned aerial systems (UAS) market is one of the few defense markets that has seen steady growth over the last five years. As a result of the ongoing wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the need for more unmanned aircraft is at an all-time high. However, reductions in defense spending will have a significant impact on the future of several developmental UAS programs over the next decade.

Highlights of the briefing include an overall U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) UAS spending analysis, overall drivers and restraints for the military UAS market, overall UAS market opportunities, and a brief look at the commercial UAV market.

“The military UAS market is growing at an astounding rate, states Research Analyst Lindsay Voss. “The demand for unmanned aircraft of all sizes continues to increase as the need for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) is reaching new heights overseas.”

This briefing is open to anyone who is interested in learning more about opportunities, trends, drivers and challenges in this market. The teleconference will benefit organizations currently in this market or wanting to enter the market as well as research staff, strategic planners, business development managers and marketing executives.
