Eurocopter, MARIGNANE:  The Eurocopter flying displays will demonstrate the company’s leading position in the field of helicopter technology. Every day, the highly advanced Tiger combat helicopter, the world’s most modern and high-performance aircraft in its class – will perform spectacular flights.

At the company’s static display (No. G), Eurocopter will exhibit the most successful helicopters of its product range: the AS355NP (the latest model of the famous Ecureuil family), EC135, EC145, EC155, EC225, and EC725 – in various commercial, parapublic, and military configurations – alongside the multi-role HAP Tiger combat support helicopter. In the adjacent area, the first Swedish NH90 in its high cabin version and a German NH90 TTH (Tactical Transport Helicopter) version will be presented by NHIndustries, the NH90 consortium in which Eurocopter holds 62,5%. In each of their respective categories, these helicopters show the very broad spectrum of Eurocopter’s technical and mission capabilities.

Eurocopter products are very present in all market segments where helicopters play a key role like:

– the oil & gas market for transporting material and passengers to and from platforms or ground bases;
– the parapublic sector mainly for surveillance & law enforcement missions by police, customs, coast guards, border patrols but also for Search And Rescue (SAR) and firefighting missions;
– the health segment for medical evacuation and patients’ transport
– the corporate/VIP segment for transportation in a business or private configuration
– the utility segment to perform aerial work
– military market and more specifically in terms of troop transport, combat and naval missions.

The company is planning contract signatures and aircraft hand-overs to customers at the show. Eurocopter is sharing a booth (Hall 2A, No. 18) where some helicopter mock-ups are shown, as well as a chalet (Pavilion A420-426, by invitation only) with its parent company, EADS.

Established in 1992, the Franco-German-Spanish Eurocopter Group is a Division of EADS, a world leader in aerospace, defence and related services. The Eurocopter Group employs approx. 14,000 people. In 2006, Eurocopter confirmed its position as the world’s No. 1 helicopter manufacturer with a turnover of 3.8 billion euros, orders for 615 new helicopters, and a 52% percent market share in the civil and parapublic sectors. Overall, the Group’s products account for 30% percent of the total world helicopter fleet. Its strong worldwide presence is ensured by its 17 subsidiaries on five continents, along with a dense network of distributors, certified agents and maintenance centres. More than 9,800 Eurocopter helicopters are currently in service with over 2,800 customers in 140 countries. Eurocopter offers the largest civil and military helicopter range in the world.
