CH-53K Development and Demonstration Phase Starts

Sikorsky Aircraft, STRATFORD: Sikorsky Aircraft marked the recent signing of a new $3 billion contract and start of development for the new CH-53K heavy-lift replacement helicopter with a ceremony today before hundreds of employees, elected officails, government and military representatives. 
 
On April 6 Sikorsky was awarded a $3.0 billion System Development and Demonstration (SDD) contract for the United States Marine Corps CH-53K heavy-lift helicopter. Sikorsky Aircraft is a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp.
