Boeing Company, ST. LOUIS: The Boeing Company today announced it has received a $46 million U.S. Air Force contract to continue providing air combat instructor services for fighter aircraft to the U.S. Air Combat Command and Training Support Squadron.
“Boeing is pleased to be selected to continue providing this training to the U.S. Air Combat Command,” said Keith Hertzenberg, Boeing vice president of Training Systems and Services. “Our instructors are helping prepare aircrews for highly demanding operations around the world so they can employ their weapon systems with maximum effectiveness and return home safely.”
The contract provides classroom, one-on-one and training-device instruction, including training in Distributed Mission Operations (DMO), a key force multiplier in preparing aircrews for the operational environment.
Boeing will provide training for the F-15C, F-15E, F-16 and F-22A platforms. It will be conducted at Cannon Air Force Base (AFB), N.M.; Eglin AFB, Fla.; Hill AFB, Utah; Langley AFB, Va.; Mountain Home AFB, Idaho; Seymour Johnson AFB, N.C.; and Shaw AFB, S.C.
Boeing has provided training to the Air Combat Command for more than 18 years and is the only contractor currently providing DMO instruction to combat aircrews around the world.
