Boeing Company,

St Louis: Boeing received a $13.2 million U.S. Air Force contract to develop new F-15 mission planning software under the Mission Planning Enterprise Contract (MPEC) program.

“The F-15 Suite 6 mission planning software will continue to provide improved capability to Air Force mission planners, resulting in increased capability for the warfighter” said Keith Hertzenberg, Boeing vice president of Training Systems and Services.

The contract provides for mission planning software development and the integration of associated contractor software into a mission planning environment that supports the Air Force's F-15 fleet.

Generated by a combination of software, hardware and trained mission planners, a mission planning system provides the best plan for an aircraft or weapon to achieve its mission.

Boeing previously received a contract under MPEC to develop the F-15 Suite 5 follow-on mission planning software, which is scheduled to enter service in March 2007. A leading provider of fighter and attack aircraft mission planning systems, Boeing has received seven MPEC orders totaling more than $165 million.
