Bental Industries,

Kibbutz Merom Golan, Israel: Bental Industries offers an extensive range of motion solutions for military ground and airborne vehicles. Backed by a powerful track record of experience, diversified technologies, advanced manufacturing facilities and processes, Bental is a proven force multiplier under the harsh conditions of combat operations.

Bental's superior integration capabilities, supported by electro-mechanical expertise, experienced engineering and advanced production facilities and processes, ensure a total tailored solution.

Bental's solutions include:

Brushless motors for ground vehicles

Bental offers a range of motors which includes elevation and traverse motors, based on Brush, Brushless or Limited Angle Torque (Toroidal) technologies.

Designed to function under the heaviest loads and harsh environmental conditions, the motors are particularly notable for their ability to deliver exceptional power and the smooth, accurate operations demanded by tank turrets and other MBT elements, as well as space cameras such as the ones installed in the Galileo satellite.

Bental motors are uniquely adaptable to such applications: a tank motor, for example, supplies high power, yet has to be small in size without overheating. Furthermore, it operates under the harshest battle conditions.

Bental is one of the few companies in the world to offer motors with these special features. The Merkava Mark II Battle Tank was the first to benefit from Bental motors, followed by Mark III and IV with all their sophisticated capabilities supported by Bental's motion systems

Among the motors offered are brushless motors with rare earth magnets for high torque capabilities, and built-in linear Hall-effect sensors to support very low temperature operations: enclosed and sealed motors for harsh environments with an integral tacho-generator for servo-control; and motors with similar features, which, when mated with a positioning controller, provides accurate dynamic response for positioning systems.

Blowers/Dust Scavengers

These products are integral to the vehicle's engine filtering system and feature exceptional filtering and a long life cycle: A-045 blowers are based on Brush technology, while B-071-025 Brushless blowers employ high energy Samarium Cobalt magnet technology.

Solutions for Other Applications:

– Alternators for ground, airborne and industrial applications include a new family of brushless D.C. Alternators/Generators that are based on high energy Samarium Cobalt magnet technology.

– Starter/Generators which are recommended for airborne applications, such as UAVs.

– Motors for Antenna Pedestals offer the highest accuracy and an extended life cycle.
