BAE Systems Demonstrates Advanced Capabilities at AUSA 2005

BAE Systems, WASHINGTON: BAE Systems will showcase products and capabilities that are “Equipping the Force – Current to Future, Systems to Soldier,” during the Association of the U.S. Army's Annual Meeting & Exposition at the Washington Convention Center Oct. 3-5.  
 
BAE Systems exhibit will showcase the integration of United Defense and the company's new global land systems business — BAE Systems Land & Armaments, a transaction that was completed in June. BAE Systems Land & Armaments is a transatlantic weapons systems manufacturer and systems integrator and a global leader in the design, development, production and service support of armored combat vehicles, major and minor caliber naval guns and missile launchers, canisters, artillery systems and intelligent munitions. BAE Systems Land & Armaments employs 11,000 people at more than 30 locations in the U.S., U.K., Sweden and South Africa.  
 
BAE Systems supports the current force with a wide range of advanced products and discriminating technologies that provide soldiers with unmatched firepower, situational awareness, mobility and survivability. BAE Systems also offers new solutions to address emerging requirements to ensure that soldiers maintain battlefield dominance. The company is a key member of the Future Combat Systems' (FCS) One Team.  
 
Capabilities and products on the stand (Booth 803) include:  
 
–Advanced Mobility products designed to deliver unmatched mobility solutions whatever the battlefield to include the Bradley Combat Systems vehicle, power management systems, hybrid electric drive and band track.  
 
–Integrated Survivability for providing life saving technologies from systems to soldier including the Armed Robotic Demonstrator, Unmanned Ground Sensors, Integrated Army Active Protection System, Advanced Threat Infrared Countermeasures, advanced armor solutions and soldier protection.  
 
–Enhanced Lethality through advanced armaments and intelligent munitions such as the FCS Non-Line-of-Sight Cannon, M777 Lightweight Howitzer, Excalibur, Advanced Precision Kill Weapon Systems, Course Correcting Fuze and Thermal Weapon Sight.  
 
–Network Centric Operations systems to harness the power of FCS and the Current force to include FCS Ground /Air Communications, FCS Joint Tactical Radio Systems, Warfighter Information Network-Tactical (WIN-T), FCS Manned Ground Vehicles, FCS Armed Robotic Vehicles and C4ISR Solutions.
