Aero Vodochody, AERO Vodochody a.s. completed overhauls of L-59T advanced training and light attack aircraft for the Tunisian Air Force. The last out of a total of nine units of the L-59T aircraft arrived in Tunisia on November 8, 2007.

The contract on overhauls of the last L-59T aircraft signed in 2006 follows already completed orders for further six units overhauled in two phases in the 2003 – 2006 period.

The aircraft were usually transported directly to AERO Vodochody a.s., subsequently dismantled and overhauled under the supervision of the customer. After overhauls of all components, the aircraft was reassembled, flight tested and delivered back to the customer.

The L-59T aircraft were delivered to the Tunisian Republic in the years 1995 – 1996. AERO Vodochody a.s. has produced a total of L-39/L-59 aircraft, out of which a significant part still serves the needs of Air Forces in more than 30 countries around Europe, Africa or Asia.
