2011 AirPower Over Hampton Roads – C-17 Globemaster III Arrival
C-17 Globemaster III Arrival 305th Air Mobility Wing 2011AirPower Over Hampton Roads Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia Friday May 13, 2011 Seen here is a C-17 Globemaster III that arrived during the Friday practice show. It is seen arriving on Runway 8 and enters the static area. In addition, you will also see an F/A-18C Hornet from VFA-86 "Sidewinders" arrive to Langley as well. The C-17 is from the 6th Airlift Squadron at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, on the McGuire AFB side of JB MDL, and the aircraft represented in the video is The Spirit of New Jersey, the first C-17 that was delivered to McGuire back in September 2004. I apologize for the black or white blips in the video, as I have yet to figure out what causes it.
