A Su-24M front line bomber has crashed during a parade dedicated to the anniversary of the Russian Navy Day, killing two pilots on board.
The plane crashed at take-off from the Chernyakhovsk airport near Kaliningrad, RIA Novosti reported Sunday. The pilots could not eject on time and died.
The Su-24 was one of three fighter jets to take part in the air show dedicated to the Russian Fleet anniversary. In spite of the tragedy, two other Su-24s performed the stunts over the Baltic Sea as planed.
