Turkish Aerospace Industries, A Collaboration Agreement was signed between Turkey’s aerospace center Turkish Aerospace Industries, Inc. (TAI) and TUSAŞ Engine Industries Inc. (TEI), which designs, develops and manufactures engines for air platforms, on September 11, 2007.
The agreement, inked by TAI General Manager Mr. Muharrem Dörtkaşlı and TEI General Manager Mr. Akın Duman, intends to provide the maximum local benefit in order to initiate the model for “local platform-local engine.”
The agreement, which foresees cooperation between the two companies, that will bring their experience in the aerospace field together, comprises the integration of the indigenous turboprop engine, developed by TEI, to the indigenous Target Drone “Turna”, developed by TAI.
The performance flight activities are also included in the agreement.
The agreement, signed between TAI and TEI, is an important milestone to reach the objective of meeting the requirements locally by creating indigenous solutions.
