Israeli UAVs for Turkey

Israel Aircraft Industries, LOD, Israel: Israel Aircraft Industries, Ltd. (IAI) and Elbit Systems will jointly supply the Turkish Armed Forces Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV) systems.  
 
The contract is valued at $150 million and each company's share will amount to approximately $75 million.  
 
The contract was signed in May 2005 between Israel UAV Partnership (IUP) and the Turkish MOD is entering into effect now.  
 
IUP is an equally owned partnership between Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI) and Elbit Systems. IUP will act as the major subcontractor to TUSAS Aerospace Industry (TAI) for the program. The systems will be delivered to the Turkish MOD over a three-year period, and will be operated by the Turkish Armed Forces.  
 
Moshe Keret, President & CEO , Israel Aircraft Industries said, that, “We are proud and pleased to have been selected together with Elbit Systems for this program which marks another step in the long lasting and productive relationship between IAI and the Turkish Defense Industry.”  
 
Israel Aircraft Industries Ltd. is a leading manufacturer in the international aerospace and defense community and Israel's largest industrial exporter. IAI's Malat Division is one of the worlds leading UAV systems designers and manufacturers. Its UAVs operate in fifteen countries and have accumulated more than 250,000 operational flight hours.
