, The Ministry of Defence (MoD) is managing a project to purchase up to six complete Gap Crossing Systems (GCS) for the New Zealand Army.

The MoD invites companies to submit proposals demonstrating that they have the requisite skills, experience, resources and capabilities required to facilitate the manufacture, delivery and through life support of the GCS.

The Gap Crossing Systems (GCS) shall:

1. be military off the shelf and proven in service
2. have a span of at least 12 meters and a maximum span of 25 meters
3. have a capacity of at least MLC27.

The purpose of the Request for Proposal (RFP) is to:

1. provide information to enable recipients to submit a formal response in the form required by the RFP
2. seek proposals to assess which recipients have an in-production GCS and the requisite skills, experience, resources and capabilities which meets the requirements specified
3. allow the MoD to identify and select those respondents to whom it will issue a request for tender.

Prospective respondents should contact Mr Peter Ware via email at the address below, requesting a copy of the RFP document. The preferred method of provision of the RFP is by electronic form; however a hard copy of the document will be provided if specifically requested.

Any other queries should be addressed to:
