Finnish Government news , The Finnish navy has signed a follow-up deal to acquire another missile system for coastal defence, the Finnish Defence Forces said in a statement Tuesday.
The statement did not cite the value of the deal.
German-based missile maker EuroSpike is to supply the launchers, missiles and required maintenance systems for the second coast defence missile company. The first company took delivery of its missiles last year.
The missile system's primary function is to take on surface targets in the archipelago region. Secondary targets can include slow-moving aircraft and lightly armoured land vehicles, the statement added.
