Australian Department of Defense, The C-17 Globemaster has successfully completed eight months of intensive introduction-into-service activities, and is now ready for operational tasks.
One of Air Force’s two C-17s will fly into Canberra from its home at RAAF Base Amberley for a ceremony marking the aircraft’s Initial Operating Capability (IOC).
Air Force is planning to conduct a short flight in the C-17 for media at the end of the ceremony.
