DDG-72 with CVN-73

At sea with USS George Washington (CVN 73) Sep. 27, 2002 -- USS Mahan (DDG 72) steams alongside George Washington while at sea during a regularly scheduled six-month deployment. George Washington is participating in Exercise Mediterranean Shark during a scheduled six-month deployment. Exercise “Mediterranean Shark” which is a bilateral training exercise conducted in Morocco by a U.S. Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), Special Operations Capable (SOC), to show the effectiveness of the Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF).
