Ex Garibaldi berthing facility being speed up to receive the light carrier soon. It is important that MinDef can show her off during Naval Sail Pass at 5th of October. Seems the sail pass will be conducted in Lampung Naval Base.

Whether this carrier will become KRI Gajah Mada, or some other potential name (Sriwijaya or Majapahit also rumoures to be contender). The test is not the USD 450 mio upgrade, but whether the 'still' green water Navy can operate light carrier consistently. Or become another nice feature to have like Thai Chakri Naruebet. Two light carrier in ASEAN, and will be test on operating them consistently as light carrier.

Two light frigate candidate that being lobby to augment SIGMA 10514. Why not additional SIGMA ? The answer so far seems is MinDef did not want to engage Damen or Dutch supplier anymore for that matter.



Yes Mogami is proper Frigate not Light Frigate, but the version being offer by Japanese lobby is the original ones, not the upgrade Mogami. In which basically will not be more heavier armed then SIGMA 10514 Light Frigate. While project 20380 is basically Light Frigate eventough it is call Corvette.

The article on Jane's on the reschedulling of the steel cutting. The reasoning is the availability time table of High Rank executives and officers in the ceremony.

The submarines will be based on Naval Group's Scorpene Evolved design, which replaces traditional air-independent propulsion arrangements found on some previous Scorpene variants with high-capacity lithium-ion batteries.

I'm put a comment on this, as with the choices of Scorpene Evo, MinDef committed with the choice of Lithium Ion Battery rather then Battery-AIP combo. However there're still strong sales lobby to still offer Battery-AIP combo. Hope they are still consistent to reject Battery-AIP combo and stay put with full (lithium) battery choices.

As seems they are still in line with schedulle of building 2 submarine in pararel time. Thus just like the first batch of two, the second batch of two is going to be build in pararel time line.

Keris FB also shown today photo on FMP progress. Shown components for fixed panel radar inside the mast. Seems the work for B possition gun instalation already being prepare also.

From FB Enthusiats on video that already circulate of the USV simulation on ramming the target. This is more as simulation, that shown this USV in my opinion still ongoing development prototype stages.

If the FFBNW equipments are already placed under contract, should they still be called FFBNW? Based on what we know, the FMP at commissioning then should have at least all the shipboards electronics, guns, and VLS. Whether the VLS are loaded or not - that's the part that is still an open question, no?

The Istif class acquisition - is that real or simply a non-binding MoU/LOI - like the one for F15EX?

More on this kamikaze USV from Naval News. Also the loitering munition and C705 SSM firing. Talking on C705, it is seems more of this missile being launch on exercises. This is one that supposedly being revise engineered, but not much info on latest progress.

Financing package already available from Qatar sources. Thus finalisation on agreement with Finance guys, I suspect in the negotiation. Definetely more advance stages then F-15EX. However again in Indonesia Procurement, nothing for sure until Down Payment being made, and Financing Packages already got nod from Finance Guys.

Istif in the end use similar systems and Missile with FMP. For me, this is better deal then other marketing frigate offer like FDI and Mogami.

Talking on C705, it is seems more of this missile being launch on exercises.

There can be two reasons for it.
1. It is simply the cheapest anti-ship missile in our navy's stock/arsenal.
2. The missiles in stock are purchased more than a decade ago, and the end of their shelf life/expire date will be soon.

C705 in this exercise is being use for land target. @Sandhi Yudha it is probably what you mentioned can be the reason. However I also wondering if the reverse engineering C-705 still progressing. This can lead to TNI-AL want to expend the usage of Inventory.

It is also very common in our country to show off and to proudly announce future projects and the development of ongoing projects, military secrets do not exist in our country. So if there is no information/reports about those programs, then it means really nothing is happen/on hold/cancelled.

There are several videos posted online. Interesting observation on MANPADS. There are launches of Mistral and QW3 (or Chiron?) from the helideck of a Sigma corvette. Why pedestal based MANPADS - and not the organic Tetral launchers?

I noted the 5in Oto Melara firing as well from one of the PPA class. Does the Navy also purchase guided rounds for the 5in and the Sovraponte?

PAL shown bit more data on the Kamikaze USV. It has 55 knt max speed and 150kg munition warhead weight. This also means it can has enough space for orther modules, in case the need more on ISTAR.

See this Frenchie salesman video, he's part of Euro Brokerage, thus he has info on MBDA contract. He's talking on acquisition of Aster 30, so ussualy means the negotiation with MBDA running well and on schedulle.

However on other video he is trashing Atmaca, shown situation that instead Teseo, Atmaca potentially going to be the SSM of choice for Indo PPA. Something that already being hinted by Roketsan-Leonardo at the last IndoDefense. So unlike Frenchie missleading trashing, even Leonardo already prepared for option integrating Atmaca toward their system in PPA.

Republik Palindo Marine begin layering up the composite hull of their Light Attack Boat (KSR). This reported going to use Cakir SSM, that's part of Republikorp-Roketsan JV.
