I had an American friend who worked for Dausault for 12 years, am sure I will have many questions ;great planes. was recently in Alsace-Lorraine and found two WW2 Shermans M 4s , one just north of Saverne, the other outside Strassbourg. They were beautifully maintained by someone. Much appreciated by me, a WW2 buff. Merci, Gaines

About Dassault: shoot, I'll be happy to oblige if I can (like I said, I'm non-technical, your friend will probably have better info than I have). There is an excellent comparative study posted around here dealing with the Rafale/Eurofighter Typhoon fighters. Otherwise I go in for things like squadrons, squadron histories and traditions etc.
As for WWII: my parents live in Normandy. If you like Shermans (or any other type of WWII tank, for that matter) Normandy is a must see :) .
I'll have to explore this forum a little to check out the appropriate threads.

Hello, I'm 21 and I'm a business student from Germany. I served in the German Army as Loader and Gunner on the Leopard 2A6 MBT and my main focus of interest in defense regards are Land Forces.

I would like to welcome the new members to Defencetalk, please enjoy the forum.

As some have observed, I am a new moderator, currently covering the Aviation and Naval categories. I am not however, new to the forum, having a different name by which I participate.
