Specifications on Anti Armour that being developed by Dahana (SOE Explosive Industry) with (officially) local Indonesian private company call PT. Hariff.

I put emphasis on 'officially' since when talking about partnership with local company, usually means that local company works as 'agent' from foreign OEM. Still try to find more which this design base on.

It's basically 90mm Anti Armour projectile with range for 300m-1000m. The exterior shown similarities with C90-CR that already being in TNI-AD inventory for sometime. I don't know if this's reverse engineering results or they are silently still partnering with OEM (Spain Instalaza). This's not first time Indonesian defense industry (SOE or Private) talk as their own research results, but actually silently still work with OEM.

Video from Indonesian MinDef on Indonesian Defense Minister sign further co-op with his counterpart. Put in in this thread as this is next step from the signing done in Indofence in last Nov. Which at that time most of the items with Turkiye co-op mostly going for Army need.

I spent some time before put this post with old post in beginin part of this thread from more then a decade ago. How time flies by in this. The talk on how projection on Indonesian Army going to work, equip in future toward next decade. This is already on that next decade, and asside some prediction comes true, some don't, but also some surprising turn around.

One of those it's advancement of Turkiye and Frenchie toward Army's suppliers (whether through direct or license agreement with Local Industry) as before in last decade talk more on German, Russian Korean even Ukrainian. Shown how changes in just a decade can be.

Turkiye advancement is quite sudden this last few years not only for Indonesian market but also Internationally. From Medium Tank that FNSE work with Pindad, to UAV, MLRS and SAM systems. This's what seems been signed yesterday (this is still speculation based on previous signing in last Indodefence).

How this going to work up next decade going to be interesting to see.

A month old video about the Fast Interceptor Craft built by Tesco Indomaritim. It has a length of only 24 meters, but it is a useful, fast and agile boat, suitable to support TNI-AD's operations.

Indonesian MinDef RnD Bureau, conducting acceptance test for "indigenous" design Bullpup Automatic Riffle call IFAR 22 and Light Transport vehicle (they call it administrative uses vehicle) call Ksatria (which basically light 4x4). Both produce by local private companies

Got this photo from Tempo. co website. This is the gun mentioned during Indo defence November last year. Seems MinDef now try to encourage more private companies engagement in Arms Manufacturing as side SOE companies.

This related also I believe to SOE defense companies like Pindad (as this is for Army) limited production capacities. Thus seems rather then provide more capital for SOE companies, they open private companies to invest on defense sectors.

Does the TNI use any of the AK series of rifles? An Ukrainian company is building and selling conversion kits, Black Storm, converting the AK74 & AKM rifles to bullpups. It doesn't alter the weapon's functions in anyway because it uses the existing barrel, breech, receiver, bolt, gas cylinder, magazine feed and magazine. The only item removed from the original weapon is the stock.

Navy and Marines still used them. In up to end of 80's from my understanding they are still some left offer AK-47 from 60's procurement. However by policy TNI already move to standardise toward NATO 5.56mm with Pindad products and M16A1 since 70's.

Thus AK ussualy only being used by niche units, mostly related toward Navy and Marines. Some elite Police units also used them. Marines is the ones that like to used Russian/East Block armaments.

Even lately they still source some AKM from Russia. However most of TNI already standardize toward NATO 5.56. That IFAR 22 Bullpup eventough manufacture by private companies, but the barrels still source from Pindad. Pindad is the main reasons why NATO 5.56 is standard. Pindad also that make NATO 7.62 become standard for Light Machine Gun and Sniper riffles.

Follow up on the deal between Indonesian private defense company (Republicorp) with Excalibur and Roketsan. The systems will seems use Czech tech to support Turkish Missiles and integrated to Indonesian network.

This is part of Indonesian President and Czech PM meeting. Mostly on discussion for Defence Tech Investment although other area also being discussed.

Description on the systems being shown on last info defence from one of local defense bloggers tweet.

It seems that TNI-AD is operating the Lightweight Multirole Missile (LMM) Martlet.
Is this officially announced some time ago? And is there somewhere some information to be found about the value of the order and the amount of missiles?

That's a smart move. It's a good system.

Base on Indonesian Bloggers like this, TNI-AD only shown them in their Instagram first and their online sites on middle last year. Not much talk officially, but I do agree on the thinking, this is acquired on similar packages with Starstreak missiles. They're using similar infrastructure on TNI-AD operation.

From Indonesian MinDef FB pages. This is part of Pindad products that recently being given to Marine Corps. Marines usually use something bit different then Army, even in small armaments. However now MinDef seems more keen on pushing standardization of small armaments toward all branches.

Take some screen shoot from Mindef video on recent Jokowi and Prabowo visit to Pindad special vehicle facilities in Bandung.

The pictures are:
1. Pandur II 8x8 IFV
2. Maung 4x4 Light Utilities production line,
3. Harimau Medium Tank.

Basically for #1 & 3, Pindad on this early batch only doing finalization. The assets still come mostly from Czech Excalibur and Turkey FNSS production line. However PINDAD claim next batches will come from their production line.

There's also rumours for next batches, studies to replace 105mm gun to 120mm. Not clear tough where the gun will come for. Cockerill being known also offering their 120mm. Similar with what being use by Polish IFV below (from Army Recognition site).

It is potentially what going to be choose if TNI studies decided to move to 120mm. Afterall, it can use similar design turret with current batches.
