I usually played as GLA in C&C generals. When fighting computer opponent, the tactic i use to fight USA is to build 20-30 terrorist in the early phase of the game and place them in all economic area. each time the enemy move in to repel this terrorist, i'll make a suicide attack on the enemy groups. a single terrorist could easily take out 3 tanks in a row. It reduce the number of their troops and strip them of much needed resource for further development. once they are weak enough for lack of resource, then i move in and finish them of.

By the way the USA crusader is look like abrams type, while the Paladin look like a heavier design might be compared to merkava.
I know a actual mod that adds real M1A4 ABRAMS MBT to USA and its better then chinese Over-lord Tank ;). I enjoyed them very much but this mod is not official one and has minor graphics glitches :(.

Crusader Tank is more comparable to BFV, since its a light tank and Paladin Tank is actually modifed version of Paladin Howitzer in this game!

Plus play USA in hard difficulty. They only show there massive strength in this level of difficulty. I think EA screwed up with AI of USA strategy in even medium difficulty but others are fine.

Personally I believe that USA side is a very cut-down version of what it is in reality and rest over-hyped!

I wonder when they will release a C&C game with actual technology and smart AI.

Which video did you see? There's a slew of videos to watch here (interviews, trailers, gameplay footage):

Here's a pretty sweet blog page I found on live journal:
http://www.livejournal.com/~act_of_war/

It has all kinds of sweet photos and some info about Act of War that I didn't even know about.

You want Rise of Nations eh? Go to this website to download the game. You gotta register first.

http://www.potuk.com/forum/index.php?

Go the the games forum---->PC games, then search for it. Also that website contains some adult contents so you might wanna stay away unless you're over 18.

Hello-

I'm the official rep for the Military Tournament between ALL of the Divisions for the upcoming computer game "Act of War." We wanted to create a fun exclusive tournament for Military personnel only and this is it. If you know someone who might be interested please send this to them.

This is the game that was created by Retired US Air Force officer and novelist Dale Brown, and is getting rave reviews as one of the most amazing and groundbreaking military games ever made.

The graphics are incredible, the game play is outstanding, and best of all, the game uses real military strategies. The interaction between your ground troops and air forces is key, but the best gamers are the ones who can adapt to whatever situation they face just like reality. There are real weapons used in the game and even future technologies that are still being developed! There is also over an hour of REAL 35mm film that is integrated into the game. If you haven't heard of Act of War before you can check out the beautiful screenshots, read about all of the features and reviews, and even download and PLAY THE FREE DEMO here:

http://www.atari.com/actofwar/us/index.php

After checking that out, or if you've already seen the game, you'll surely be interested in signing up for our FREE Tournament. We want to create a huge tourney between all of the military divisions, which should create a lot of fun for all, and major bragging rights for some, but we can't do this without your help. If you are interested in this free tournament for Act of War, and you are in the military, you need to sign the petition in order to make it happen:

http://www.atari.com/actofwar/us/afpetition/ <-Armed Forces

http://www.atari.com/actofwar/us/rotcpetition/ <-ROTC

We need a lot of sign-ups in order to start the tournament so please tell your friends in the military about this and feel free to post any questions that you may have about the game. Thanks. Hello-

Tell me my friend, how well does this game run on slower computers?

I have a P4 1.6GHZ processor with 512MB SD Ram. My graphics card is g-force 4 64mb. Do you think I could run Act of War on it?

Sabre, I would go for these companies for motherboards > Asus > Abit > MSI > Chaintech respectively.

I have AMD 2500+ (1.8 normal speed, over clocking would take it to 2.2) asus motherboard with Asus FX 5200 Nvidia 128 MB RAM Video card. 100+ GB hd and 1 GB of DDR Memory.

Well the listed min. requirements are:

Windows 2000/XP, 1.5GHz CPU, 256MB RAM, 64MB video card (128MB recommended) with full hardware T&L support (not GeForce 4 MX), 5.5GB disk space.

So while a 128MB video card is reccomended and would be a nice improvement, 64MB should work out ok. If you have the disk space for it (some don't) Act of War should run fine and smoothly. Let me know how you like the demo.

Yes, it is. 4 GB is usally on network servers/domain controllers that handle a lot of requests from a lot of users at any given minute. OTH, more memory is always good.

Missile-Defence mod simulator

I am the leader of a new blog news site / mod site

My blog site is about missile defense and everything related to it.. I have had 5 years in mod development and decided to work on a mod based around missile defense of a country. The mod gameplay will be somewhat like the old missile command game Atari did but only in that you shoot at missiles, game play is completly different and on a lot bigger scale since targeting takes place on the ground and in space.

Here are a some pics from the project.

2. 1.5GH.........................yes (its above 1.5GH)
3. 256 MB RAM.................no
4. 64 MB Video Card..........yes (recommanded 128 MB RAM.....no)
5. 5.5 GB Disk Space.........yes

Thanks webs for the names of MotherBoard but I have decided to buy another Intel MotherBoard better than this one. Atleast there is a warinty for Intel products here. So tell me which of the intel Mother boards is better???

I am also looking to buy a P4 Laptop on installments, so I'll wait. If i get the laptop no point in upgrading the PC. I'll sell the DeskTop.

Re: PC GAMES...(Defence/Military related)

Well, after much anticipation, Act of War has officially been released in the U.S. and is generating some serious buzz. The gamespot community has given it a rating of 8.9/10 and ign has given it a rating of 8.5/10.

In my opinion, what really sticks out is that you don't look at the game in terms of mission 1, mission 2, etc. because all of the live-action cut scenes are blended in so well (and there's so MANY) that it seriously feels like an interactive movie/story. I've never really had that feeling from an RTS game before and it adds a LOT to the overall enjoyment of the game.

Has anyone played this yet?
