View from Cockpit

Quite new jets have been added. Enemy jets which were not available in the AC4 for have been made available e.g: MiG-21. F-111 has been added. YF-23, & Gripes r these as well
X-29 & S-37(Su-47) Birkut have been added in a Fighter mode.

NAMCO has improved the graphics. Now u can clearly c from the cockpit to out side, & from out side into the cockpit. U can c pilots with helmets on in the jet.

Manuverbility has been improved. Swing role fighters can swing now. So I hope Su-30s will do the cobra manuvers in it too.

If only B-2 were there to fly. Last time enmies flew it. Player never got a chance.

Combat games are nothing if you dont have a good soundtrack playin in the back ground. Too bad they dont have good ones for air force games :cry . Doom 3 has a really swell one on the menu and the
red alert 2 soundtrack was done with one of the deftones guitarist. :smokingc:

Sim Meier's Civilization series

I think this turn-based game complexity quit near to real-life politic. Not only military,we must also think the economy, culture and almost every aspect of govt.work.
I'm playing the Civ 3 now and nothing beat the feeling to launch the ICBM to enemy city. And see their expensive missile shooted down by my Satelite Defense Initiative :D

i've played fleet command and despite it's lack of realism, it still quite good. i,ve tried the fleet management simulator for RMN and there's resemblance though not as cinematic as fleet command.

anyone try sub command yet?

The best part of Civ3 u have limited the geographic coverings of ur enemy to only few cities, than even rulers like Germany's Bismarc (who constantly threatens to attack u if u dnt give him one of ur importent Technologies or resource) will start to beg & will give away anything to every thing in his inventory to u so u dnt attack. To bad m not a man of words. THERE GOES MY ICBM.

Best strategy is to capture the Costal cities 1st. By this enemy will be forced to send troops through roads. This will give u enough time to prepare for them. Secondly try to destroy enemy rail roads that lead to u. Slow them down.
I usualy go for developments. wait for other cities of other nations near my borders to depose their rulers n join me. This is slow but till the modern age comes its the best option.

If you have high speed internet, it doesn't matter where you are located. :) I am not sure if it will be available in Asia. If Defencetalk had a decent budget, I would ship you one. :D :p:

Re: Sim Meier's Civilization series

why wouldnt it be in Asia???? every new game released in US will be released in Pak 2 days later.
But yes speed kills....my net tends to get slow time after time, & some times it is unbilievingly fast.

Defense Games!??

A few weeks ago a friend showed me the demo for a new real time strategy game called Act of War, where terrorists try to take over the US, and the US battles to stop them. It seems like any other game, but it is so in depth, and the scenarios are so real life that many military strategists are thinking of using the game to help the us prepare for future terrorist threats. Do you think this is a good idea? Can our country depend on computer games to help our defenses? Please let me know your opinions, thanks in advance

Re: Defense Games!??

Many countries already do train on simulations already. But if you are asking that can a country depend on -only- simulations then the answer would be an obvious "no".

BLC to make return after 5 years :D ... Yeah yeah I knw whats a cricket game gotta do with Defence games (Well if u think..it does in some ways). Anyways BLC now BLIC (Brian Lara international Cricket) is coming back for PC,PS2 & X-box. & Since here r too many cricket lovers I decided to show the screen shots.

Here are the early un-filtered screenshots (The game would not look like this..these r early crapy graphics released)

for more visit: http://www.totalvideogames.com/pages/articles/index.php?screenshot=all&game_id=4462

The game makes its return in cometetion to EA Sports & HB Studios Cricket2004 which did not make as much empact as BLC99 did. Although Cricket 2004 hasv more features (e.g: domestic teams & abt 100 Stadiums) while BLIC only has 20 stadiums it is still expected that Cricket 2004 will be beaten by BLIC. It is cause of this EA has announced cricket2006.
Both games will be released in 2005. BLIC in summers & Cricket2k6 some what after that.

Realistic War Game, Military Tournament- Who is #1?

Hello-

I'm the official rep for the Military Tournament between ALL of the Divisions for the upcoming computer game "Act of War." We wanted to create a fun exclusive tournament for Military personnel only and this is it. If you know someone who might be interested please send this to them.

This is the game that was created by Retired US Air Force officer and novelist Dale Brown, and is getting rave reviews as one of the most amazing and groundbreaking military games ever made.

The graphics are incredible, the game play is outstanding, and best of all, the game uses real military strategies. The interaction between your ground troops and air forces is key, but the best gamers are the ones who can adapt to whatever situation they face just like reality. There are real weapons used in the game and even future technologies that are still being developed! There is also over an hour of REAL 35mm film that is integrated into the game. If you haven't heard of Act of War before you can check out the beautiful screenshots, read about all of the features and reviews, and even download and PLAY THE FREE DEMO here:

http://www.atari.com/actofwar/us/index.php

After checking that out, or if you've already seen the game, you'll surely be interested in signing up for our FREE Tournament. We want to create a huge tourney between all of the military divisions, which should create a lot of fun for all, and major bragging rights for some, but we can't do this without your help. If you are interested in this free tournament for Act of War, and you are in the military, you need to sign the petition in order to make it happen:

http://www.atari.com/actofwar/us/mapetition/ <- Military Academy

http://www.atari.com/actofwar/us/afpetition/ <-Armed Forces

http://www.atari.com/actofwar/us/rotcpetition/ <-ROTC

We need a lot of sign-ups in order to start the tournament so please tell your friends in the military about this and feel free to post any questions that you may have about the game. Thanks.
