Jf-17 and F-16 are same line of ACs??? Excuse me? F-16 Block 15 that Pakistan already has could be in line with Jf-17s but the F-16s that we'd get now (that is, "if") would probably be Block 40 or 50 if not 50+ which is leaps and bounds ahead of Jf-17 in terms of tech as far as I know. :smokingc: Jf-17 is a low-cost medium-tech bulk fighter, not a hightech frontline AC.

l,ve heard that the BVR missiles that will arm the JF17 are the South African
Darter series.
Not bad.
Considering both ( U-darter and R-darter were built in conjunction with the israeli python and derby ). The South African missiles have better counter measures to EW warefare are faster in speed and improved distance.
(Janes world missiles).
Also the ukraine is DESPRATE to sell pakistan BVR misslies. As foreign military sales will bring in much needed revenue. This will include a missile which has a range of 80+ miles.( already being negotiated)
The chinese are working on the SD10. ( few may know. that the israelis have helped provide expertise on this missile, while their close alley america does not learn too much about this).
BVR future looks rosy for pakistan. No more will india have the upper hand.
The next best step for pakistan will inshallah be indigenous production of cruise missiles. ( well a copy of the tomahawks that landed in pakistan, while afghanistan was bombed will do ). Or the black shaheen will do.

Pakistan could attack indias front line bases without even facing much resistance. lndias naval fleet would become ineffective. ( very soon inshallah).
It is a known fact that the cruise missiles that landed in pakistan and afghanistan which were intact and had not exploded ( around 20 ) were never handed back to the usa. The chinese scientists along with the pakistanis started to dismantle and study them within 2 days of the incident.
We all know that reverse engineering is a possibility.
The problem will have been on the onboard computers and guidance systems of the missiles. The chinese ( press ) as stated have the ability to overcome this and improve on already known technologies.
Will we see the JF 17 armed with such weapons.
A very strong possibilty. ( as the JF17 could have many new weapons integrated in time ).
Pakistan news papers also reported that they were working on giuidance systems that would allow Ghauri and Shaheen missiles to hit with an accuracy of around 15 meters. ( tomahawk accuracy ).
All in all pakistan will soon pocess the capability of attacking all known airfields and other military installations in india without sending in the airforce. lnshallah.
P.S does anybody know what ejector seat will go into the JF17.

Brother Muslim, Tomahawk is not going to be fitted on JF-17 coz its a surface to surface missile not air missile. Its very big in size. But it will be a major break through for Pakistan. Americans will rub their heads when they know about the test and will think that if they were not fired them in Pakistan.

Like I always maintain it is futile to compare LCA with any Western combat aircraft. It is made by the world's greatest country on earth and the greatest people on Earth. LCA is a state of the art combat aircraft which will also cause the termination of JSF Fighter being developed by U.S. for simplay the JSF would not be able of compete with the LCA. Soon all Western Aviation development and production would cease as they would simply not be able to compete with the greatest combat aircraft developed by the greatest nation on earth. The greatest combat aircraft local engine, the so called 'Kaveri' made by the greatest people on earth was a complete failure though. Uncle Sam saved the greatest combat fighter on earth by giving bout 100 combat aircraft engines

What l meant was not for the jf17 to carry the tomahawk. But instead a derivative that would be lighter and easier to carry. A down sized version.
Either way my friend it would give us a formidable punch.

yes we are "Great" people, discussing a "great" topic, of "great" size, under the supervision of the "great" "Webs", we are having a "great" time. oh and its "great" to be here!!
the JSF is a 5th Gen fighter and it represent a true multinational effort, there is no way anyone country could rival it without spending almost all of its resources at R&D. as the "great" one says JSF is a "great" AC

Now I have read Every thing !!! My God. All Mighty Allah! Thats it pick me up! I found the reason to my life. It was to read the topic which has got no a single alphabet which says the story is true.
SriLankan I nt knw abt LCA or JSF or JF-17 or F-22 or some other jets but t bomb u have droped is very deadly. Certainly u might have used ur BVR missiles, I mean we all dint see this coming.

l heard that at the ideas 2000 convention, the ukranians were promoting their BVR. Which apparently pakistan is very interested in considering that technology transfer may come as part of the package.
Regarding the LCA and JF17 standoff.
We will only know when both planes have entered their front line squadrons and are involved in active service.
The italians it seems have gone back to the drawing board on the Griffo radar mainly due to the supperior indian SU30 radars. The ltalians have promised a much improved and significantly enhanced radar.
l suppose the jf17 is good in that repect in that modifications can be made constantly as better technologies are produced.
To deal with indian su30s, all the jf17 needs is a long range radar with BVR. Both are on the table.
