I’d wish from the perspective of the effectiveness of the TNI-AL, that they didn’t divide the cake at all. Six frigates from three different manufacturers. With the 6 Sigmas as well? That is going to be a logistic and training nightmare. And then to start mixing and matching systems as well - ugh. It would be so much easier with a more homogenous fleet.

If they in the end can more or less simplified to just 3-4 system suppliers it is already great. Indonesian Defense procurement already know for years has patch up procurement projects. Politics and Marketing Lobby can influence that, especially when changing to new administrations.
If they can stay with current trend of mostly goes with Euro system of Aselsan and Leonardo with occasionally getting Thales. It is already (for TNI practices) relative better procurement process. TNI can not have 100% homogenous/uniform suppliers system. If they can at least have more than half uniform procurement base, it is already good progress.
Personally for me, if that means for future more then two thirds of weapon systems from Turkiye, Italia and French, then it is already relatively better situation. More domestic industry partnering with less suppliers,it is better for domestic supply chains.
However realistically it is also still potentially smaller procurement from South Korea, Japan, US, Russia and China. 100% homogenous systems will never happen for TNI practices. That's why Indonesia MinDef betting high for effectiveness of Link ID, just like Pakistan and Egypt for example also work hard to get common data gate way.

I wonder when the armament packages will be signed for the SIGMA 10514 and PPA: MM40 Block 3, MICA, Aster 15, Aster 30, 127 mm, 76 mm and 25 mm rounds. Until now even the stocks for the SIGMA 10514 is very limited or non-existing, these frigates are just empty ships now.

Indonesia’s Second PPA Arrives in the Country - Naval News
Indonesian Navy’s (TNI AL) second Multipurpose Combat Ship / Pattugliatore Polivalente d’Altura (PPA), KRI Prabu Siliwangi (321), has arrived in the country on March 22 after a lengthy transit from Italy.

Naval news still inform that the plan to upgrade both PPA to Full config from present Light + still ongoing. From previous talk in media and forums, TNI-AL prever to get Aster 30, as the price not much differ then Aster 15. Thus the latest test on Regina Marina PPA for Aster 30, can also be cue on that.

I don't think in this region, even Singapore have enough missiles for more than a week of situation like in Ukraine or Gulf.

From Made in Indonesia FB. Progress of two KCR (FMB) 60. Those KCR actually license design from Turkey, and not different much with two FMB 70 being build in Turkiye yard. Eventough it is stated as KCR 60, it is actually 68m.

SCMP still talk about 8 Mogami Frigates deal (4 build in Japan and 4 in Indonesia), but other rumours in here already talk the deal is in stagnan situation. Japan media talk more on second hand submarine deal as interim ones. Either way like the meeting in Seoul, Tokyo meeting also talk defense deal.
