There're enough noices from more reliable rumours sources that talk BUK-MB2K from Belarusia will come to TNI Asset. This Belarusia SAM being taken as compromise on CAATSA and Indonesia political factions that still want non western defenses items. Belarusia already shown this on last IndoDefence.

Again Rumours talk the Medium Range SAM for TNI will be differed in each arm. The Army (TNI-AD) will get Turkiye Roketsan based Trisula system (Hisar), The Air Force (TNI-AU) NASAMS, and the Navy/Marines will get this Belarus system.

However there are also talk and rumours that TNI-AU looking on this Buk as alternative for more Nasams. Rumours say TNI-AU want to have more Nasams Batteries from their current ones. The problem is getting more AIM-120.

TNI-AU needs simply more AIM-120s, even without the NASAMS.

Looking to recent developments on the modern battlefield, Korps Marinir does maybe require the Pantsir more urgently.

And TNI-AU needs also more Skyshield batteries btw.

With TNI-AL having the MICA on at least two frigates and TNI-AU using the MICA soon too, i wonder why the MICA isn't one of the candidates.

Don't forget 3 Bung Tomo Corvette on the MLU process with Sea Wolf VL being replace by VL MICA. However why Marines choose this:

I suspect more to budget prices and Marines taste on preference using East Euro Russia influences assets, then US and West Euro.

However TNI-AU do look on both VL MICA and Belarus BUK as alternative for New Capital Air Defence. At this moment NASAMS being use as TNI-AU Jakarta Air Defence. If TNI-AU end up using more MICA then AIM-120, the land base VL MICA being operate by TNI-AU for New Capital air defence is still on the lobby discussion.

Just add the Belarusia-Indonesia Lobbyist company that rumours being used as supplier for Belarus defence assets. Whether later on the assets originate from Russia with Belarussia front, is another stories. This company also being talk in negotiation with MinDef for more Mi-8/17. There're already 'Investors' that pouring money to this Roketsan JV. So unless the JV fail to materiliase then the standard SSM will be Roketsan products, plus potential reverse engineering C-705 (altough I don't put too much hope on that).

Frenchie salesman getting bitter on how Roketsan products getting more order then MBDA ones. Well as usual that salesman omitted to talk about this JV. Investment money do matters.
