098 South China Sea (May 30, 2006) - The amphibious dock landing ship USS Harpers Ferry (LSD 49) comes alongside the Royal Australian Navy auxiliary oilier replenishment ship HMAS Success (AOR 304), while the amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2) finishes her UNREP. Essex and Harpers Ferry, with embarked members of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) (Special Operations Capable), recently completed the Thailand-based exercise Cobra Gold 2006.
