USS Crommelin FFG 37

Pearl Harbor, Hawaii - Family members cheer the crew of the guided missile frigate USS Crommelin (FFG 37) as the ship returns from deployment. Commanded by Cmdr. Don Hodge, more than 200 officers and Sailors of the Pearl Harbor-based frigate were deployed to U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command engaged in monitoring, detection, and counter drug activities. Since reporting for duty in the Eastern Pacific May 20, USS Crommelin disrupted five narcotic smuggling operations, interdicted more than $1 billion worth of cocaine, and captured 29 suspected narcotics smugglers.
