SAN DIEGO (Feb. 11, 2011) A flight deck handler from the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) spots a World War II-era N3N trainer Navy biplane at Naval Air Station North Island. The base is hosting a Centennial of Naval Aviation Open House and Parade of Flight. The Navy is observing the Centennial of Naval Aviation with a series of events nationwide, celebrating 100 years of heritage, progress and achievement in naval aviation.
