MAIMANAH, Afghanistan (Feb. 15, 2011) An explosive ordnance disposal remote-controlled robot is used during a training mission to demonstrate its ability to approach, inspect and handle possible improvised explosive devices (IEDs). Sailors assigned to the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) provide support to Afghanistan in creating a functioning government and administration structure, while preserving Afghan traditions and culture.
