Bright Star Exercise 2005

Mubarek Military City, Egypt (Sept. 15, 2005) – A Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) assigned to the dock landing ship USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52) approaches the beach during Exercise Bright Star 2005. The exercise is an important part of U.S. Central Command’s theater engagement strategy and is designed to improve readiness, interoperability, strengthen the military and professional relationships among U.S., Egyptian and participating forces.
