The exercise takes place from 19 September to 6 October 2025, involving a total of 2120 personnel from the land, sea, and air services. This year’s exercise features the participation of 10 warships, 60 aircraft of various types, and 4 air defence systems, underscoring the strong commitment of the Five Power Defence Arrangements (FPDA) nations to enhancing interoperability and strengthening defence cooperation. BERSAMA LIMA is a tactical-level exercise with an operational-level headquarters aimed at exercising FPDA combined and joint forces, including a land element. It is planned and led by the Malaysian Armed Forces or Singapore Armed Forces in alternate years.

There can be two reasons for this horrible editing style.
1. The maker is an amateur but thinks he is so professional by making the video 'modern'.
2. "Here you have 15 hours of video footages, make a 3 minute Youtube video of it, i give you one day."

Well will see how this develop. In sense this is mutual defense treaty. Some factions in both nation still eyes each other suspiciously. Some in Indonesia still see Australia as US defense sheriff, while in Australia some still see Indonesia suspiciously on human rights. Papua still become contagious issue shimering below, potentially can be fan above by some factions within each borders.

The program has expanded to 12 nations, including the Philippines, Indonesia and Mongolia, as well as island nations in the Pacific. I think this is a positive development and good news for the 12 countries.

Not island expansion/enlargement, but brand new islands...China begins constructing new island in South China Sea
I know it's not a new idea or even action do me but man if ever there are still doubts about chinas commitment to defence this should be a eye opener. I don't think as a nation you invest in permanent and powerful defence options unless you have the intent to defend them. Not if they can be used against you if you don't.
Things like this really reduce the margin for error as far as diplomatic rhetoric and shows of force are concerned
